I teach 5- and 6-year-olds in a rural area. Some are coming to school with little or no educational background and others with some background education, but all of them are ready to jump on the learning train to get started.
School for these littles is an exciting time.
Some will always love learning, and some will need to be pushed in that direction. With a lot of exciting different ways to teach, we will conquer this love of learning together.
Going into this year of uncertainty, having the environment of the classroom set up correctly will help. This will become the norm for the students since it is their first year in BIG KID school. Having a variety of learning tools for the students will help make sure each student's needs are met.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students need a variety of ways to use manipulatives and to learn. Without the manipulatives, students may not understand the concept. Students like visuals to understand the concept of time. Without having concrete items to touch and manipulate to build things, students would not grow up to be engineers or builders. Let’s help put things in front of them that are not video games or TV. These products will help provide opportunities to the children in kindergarten. Students will learn the science of building.
