My Students

My K-5 students are passionate young musicians! They sing, play, create, and explore music with a curiosity that inspires me as their teacher.

They each have a unique song in their heart and they let their melodies shine in our classroom community.

One of the beauties of music education is that the "right" answer can often mean so many different things to different students, and they are creative problem solvers and collaborators who do some amazing things in our classroom!

My Project

These fun lollipop-shaped drums add a fun, sweet flair to teaching students about playing mallet instruments! The handles also make it easier for young hands to manipulate and practice building mallet skills.

Now more than ever, the ability to safely sanitize instruments is crucial to my ability to provide instrumental experiences to my students.

These drums are nonporous and can stand up to being repeatedly saturated with sanitizer. As a face-to-face district, my students dearly miss the hands-on materials that are typically a part of our music classroom. Many of our go-to materials cannot be continually cleaned or shared right now, leaving us with limited options. These fun drums could bring back some fun noise to the classroom!
