This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) biology class is learning about DNA and how it makes proteins. The students could understand the concept of protein synthesis if they had made amino acids and links them to make proteins. The purpose of the DNA-to-protein project is to create nitrogenous bases adenine, guanine, cytosine, thymine, and uracil are the four nitrogenous bases in DNA, while adenine, guanine, uracil, and cytosine are the four in RNA. Each group of students will receive a paper copy of the DNA strand which will be used to make their specific protein.
The NGSS biology science class can use a Cricut machine to make pyrimidines and purines for the DNA and RNA module.
They will also use the Cricut machine to make amino acids. This smart cutting machine can make popular projects like stickers, cards, and vinyl decals. The decals that the students create will be affixed to a poster board.
