My Students
My students are amazing. They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day.
Our school is located in a low-income area with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Most of my students have limited resources outside of school, so our school may provide their only chance to experience enriching activities. My goal every year is to create an environment that is warm, safe and welcoming while maintaining a fun, creative learning atmosphere.
My Project
Reading about science can be hard to understand for students if they don't have background knowledge of the concept. This project aims to put supplies in the hands of my students so they can understand a variety of science concepts.
Allowing students touch, feel, and experiment with science gives them the chance to make discoveries on their own.
With the requested supplies students will learn how tornadoes are formed. They will be able to discover how liquids and gases travel in spirals around a center line. We also learn about how volcanoes are created and why they erupt. Hands-on learning makes learning fun and memorable by putting science experiments in the palm of a student's hand. Students will use the requested buttons explain these concepts to parents. Please help our class have fun while learning!
