My students are diverse, talented, high-energy scholars. They strive to work hard and do their best to reach the goals they have set for themselves.
These students are some of the most excellent and most creative people that I have had the pleasure of working with, and they are constantly finding new and exciting ways to show me their skills.
Whether it is a quick conversation with a student or an assignment they are working hard on, my students constantly amaze me with their personalities and talents.
Our school prides itself on being a diverse and inclusive community, and my students come from all different backgrounds. As we work together in class, my students pull from their lives to connect to literature and others. I hope to give back and teach them as much as they are teaching me this year!
My Project
Many of my students enter into our classroom anticipating boring stories and school books, however, I do my best to combat these feelings and make them enjoy the reading we get to do in class.
One thing that my students always ask for is manga.
Currently I don't have a large section of manga for students to pick from, so I'm trying to build up some more options for students to pick from.
I know that my students would enjoy having these materials in class and would find joy in getting to revisit some classic series they may have already read or explore new manga that they haven't gotten to visit yet. As these can be difficult to find at times, I'm hoping that these sets will be a good start to my manga collection.
