Each year I say I have the best class ever, and this year is no exception! They are funny, inquisitive, and ready to help others. I strive to provide them with hands-on learning opportunities whenever possible and with the tools they need to be thoughtful and productive students.
My students continually blow me away with their perseverance, humor, and thoughtful personalities.
They love learning and helping each other. It's my honor to teach these wonderful group of kiddos and I can't wait to see what the future has in store!
My Project
Every year I try to find hands-on activities for my students to explore simple machines, forces, and motion. This year, I've found the perfect items to get my students involved in building and creating! The K'NEX kits will allow the students to explore simple machines. The simple machine kits instruct the students on how to build the machines. As they build the models, they will learn how the simple machines work and operate.
What better way to learn about physics than to build rollercoasters?!
The students will be using their knowledge of simple machines, forces, and motion to study how they all interact in rollercoasters. The students will work in groups to build their rollercoaster and then study all of the physics concepts that apply to their rollercoaster.
