Last year's little crew was always ready and willing to go above and beyond . . . no matter what the task. They loved to have fun, but they also loved to learn. That is what I loved about them. They never let anything stand in their way. They were so determined to prosper and grow. Their little brains were like little sponges that would soak up any and everything you could throw their way. I cannot wait to meet my new little crew. If they are anything like my last little crew, I should have an amazing year.
My Project
Many people think of kindergarten as a glorified nursery or day care, which is far from the truth. Our little ones are going and doing from the minute they walk through my door each day. We have our hands in everything, which means we use a large variety of materials. One of those things, in particular, is markers. We use dry erase markers, highlighters, washable markers. We are constantly using our highlighters to highlight important material when reading or completing assignments. We use our regular washable markers when creating art projects. And, our favorites, the dry erase markers. We use them to write words and do math problems and to write stories. If you can name it we probably do it with our markers.
