My Students

The district supplies $1.83 per student for the year for art supplies and there is no other source of funding to buy art supplies. These images will become part of the Advanced Placement 3D Design portfolio.

My students know it is now vital to become aware and respond to critical social issues at this time.

They invest a great deal of time and effort researching, designing and creating their work.

They collaborate and work as a team. They learn to critique and reflect as a group on their finished work. They commonly use math, history, and English to develop a personal response to a design problem. This art class is a University of California A-G required course for graduation.

My Project

My students are discovering the vibrant history of the free Press. Without a free and vocal press, oppression, lies, and authoritarianism can arise, as we have seen in history. This issue deeply affects my students.

My high school students are about to become citizens with the right to vote, through images, poetry, and words our entire community can learn about the important and obscured stories of human and environmental rights through the last 125 years.

We hope to establish a very clear picture of the means that work in early Mexican, Russian, Chinese and Americal social realist artists and the junction with the literate world in order to produce works reflecting current issues.
