Making New Spaces Welcoming!

Help me give my students a space that welcomes them with words and images that inspire. With a cricut I can create inspirational bulletin boards, and motivational vinyl signs. I'd love to have the students make items!

My Students

This year positive messages and supportive words will be critical. Our middle school is stepping into it's first year as a "True Middle School", meaning it is the first year we will have grades 6, 7, & 8. Our pursuit of a true middle school has been long, and with a lot of positive anticipation towards this new and exciting change. Teachers, student, and parents alike believed in the growing space we were setting out to create.

Due to COVID, and building construction, our back to school transition has been rocky and our positive anticipation has now mixed with confusion.

As the School Counselor I am setting out to create a welcoming and supportive school environment for our students. I hope to add positive messages and signs around the school to welcome them and create a safe & socially distant informed space.

My Project

Our school will be welcoming students back into the building. Our construction will soon be done and with new classrooms and hallways I want students to take ownership in making it welcoming.

With a cricut I can have students help me make the new spaces personal.

I can also create inspirational and motivational bulletin boards with the cricut being a letter cutting tool. I'd love to transform our new spaces into works of art and spread positive messages as we welcome students back!

I look forward to engaging with students and tapping into their community building side!
