The Tap Tap Sensory Lights and Sequin Flip Fabric immediately became classroom favorites—students love creating patterns and exploring color changes, which has helped with focus and self-regulation during sensory breaks. The Sensory Spinning Chair and Stepping Stones have been wonderful additions to our movement area, giving students fun ways to work on balance, coordination, and calming their bodies when they need a sensory reset.\r\n\r\nOur dramatic play and fine motor centers have also blossomed thanks to the Wooden Doll Bed, Montessori Screwdriver Board, and Learn to Tie Your Shoes Board. Students are practicing real-life skills like fastening buttons and laces while engaging in imaginative play with the baby dolls. The Addition Learning Locks and Social Emotional Learning Activities Set have been great tools for hands-on math and emotional literacy—students are connecting numbers and feelings in ways that feel like play.\r\n\r\nNext, we plan to incorporate the Build-a-Story Cards and Community Helper books into a project all about community roles. Students will use the stories and books to learn about helpers in our neighborhood, then create their own \"Community Helper Day,\" dressing up and explaining what job they would like to have. Thanks to these resources, my students are learning through touch, movement, and imagination every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1755737306565,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-sensory-and-life-skill-needs/9472185/","projectTitle":"Supporting Sensory and Life Skill Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nufrio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9546333_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754457067884","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9546333"},{"teacherId":9546333,"projectId":8966589,"letterContent":"Thank you for the essentials that keep our classroom clean and healthy. As I am in a self contained ASD classroom the students interact with books differently.
