My Students

From the moment my students walk in the door, they are full of life and energy as they are eager to see what new learning adventure awaits them. Our classroom is a close-knit community that works hard from the moment they step into the classroom until the time they head home.

My 24 students come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances; however, they all have a desire to learn and be successful.

They are vibrant and curious students who are eager to explore the world around them. Many of my students come to school not only to learn, but also to be fed, clothed, and most importantly loved.

My Project

As we "travel" around the globe, my students will have the opportunity to listen and play music inspired by the Multicultural Music CD Library.

My goal is for students to perform music using inspiration from the people and places we have studied.

To aid them in this quest, students will use the Rhythm Stick Activity Kit as well as the Instruments from Around the World Collection. Not only will student become more familiar with music from around the world; but, they will also learn how to play the various instruments. At the end of the unit the students will be able to demonstrate their musical ability with a multicultural music concert!!
