Making Math Visual

Help me give my students individual dry erase boards, markers, and pens which will add color to their notes and graphs.

My Project

As young learners, students learn math by manipulating objects. As students get older, they move from concrete objects to more abstract ideas. However, to really understand math, it is still important for students to "see" math. This happens more with representations on paper or on white boards.

Whiteboards are an important learning tool for older students, because they are able to easily work with graphic representations.

Students are less afraid to make mistakes, because mistakes are easy to correct. They are also easy for teachers to see from a greater distance than are paper and pencil. Color helps representations be more visible when it is on paper, and students love using erasable pens. Notes are more meaningful when they can have color incorporated. These supplies will help my students be more successful!
