Help me give my students an updated, engaging, and fun math center with great learning games to practice implementing different math strategies. Along with games, please provide more storage to organize and store all math games and headphones.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I want to make learning math fun and engaging. Some students struggle with math and need assistance in all ways possible. With more hands-on manipulatives, students will be able to count and apply strategies more during math time. Second graders need more visuals with certain skills such as counting on and back on number lines counting money and telling the difference between hands on clocks when telling time.
White boards will help students to show quick responses in small and whole group settings, pocket charts will help display weekly words (math vocabulary), and more challenging (logic) games to make math more magnificent!
With your help, student success will progress with material provided by your donations! Majority of the students would rather perform physical activity with games or competitively response in math races to learn instead of passively listening to a math lecture. This way all learning styles are getting what they need to be successful in math. With all the new materials, our math center will be ready to engage all students for fun effective learning. Students will learn to store and organize new material properly for future use throughout the year.
