My young students are just beginning to develop an understanding of math concepts. They are naturally excited about the variety of math learning that happens throughout the day - during routines, transitions, stories, songs and play. My project involves adding classroom materials that will encourage children to explore math concepts in a variety of creative ways. Working with materials such as manipulatives, puzzles and art media will support my students emerging math skills and help them get excited about mathematical learning.
