My Students

I am a mathematics teacher at a local high school. My students are 13-16 years old and my school is Title I where 98% of the students are eligible for reduced or free lunch.

My students are peculiar, unique, and eclectic!

I have a passion for providing my students with the optimal experience of learning. The majority of students do not like math and they tend to shut down at the thought or sight of math problems, so I make it my duty to not only make my class enjoyable and engaging but fun as well.

My Project

My project is intended to make math fun and creative. My students have continued to advance in their math skills, and I want to ensure we have the proper resources to finish the year strong. I have requested paper, pencil, post-it notes, and other basic school supplies to help alleviate any possible stressors of my students having to purchase these items on their own.

An environment that is conducive to the well-being of students is an opportunity for growth.

I have requested coloring books, stress balls, and LED lights to help maintain the ambiance of the classroom. Mental health is important, and because my students spend more time at school than they do at home, I want to ensure that the classroom is welcoming. The storage cart will be used to store assignments ad classroom materials. The candy is being requested to reward my students for their hard work in the classroom. I am excited about this project and look forward to your support. Thanks!
