I believe that all students can grow. This is the message conveyed to all of my students. Being qualified for Special Education allows my students the opportunity to learn differently and the tools required for this type of learning can be costly.
A small farming community lends to our large Hispanic population, however, we don't let the fact that most of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch inhibit our learning potential.
Students in my class are in grades 9-12 and deal with a variety of learning, physical, and emotional disabilities. Providing them with accommodations that enhance their learning is one of the many joys I have every day.

Students with special needs, need special things. The items in this project are to help my students gain a better understanding of math concepts and stay focused when learning.
Math Manipulatives are a vital tool in Special Education Classrooms.
So many students need to see a concrete representation of math concepts. The use of Unifix cubes, Base 10 Blocks, Dry Erase Markers, and file dividers will help my students to stay organized and to see the concepts being taught. The Learniture Adjustable Height Stools will help them to sit comfortably and standing desks so their seating is not distracting from their learning.
