Making Math Fun!

Help me give my students items to use in projects. I am teaching a brand new class this year and need the Ferris wheels for simulations of angular motion.

My Project

I am teaching a brand new course this year, AP Pre-Calculus. I have included some Ferris wheel kits so that we can see angular and linear velocity and not just try and imagine it. In AP Statistics we generate lots of data sets using a variety of candies. We will use paper and stickers to create graphs from our data. The fact we do them on paper allows us to reference them again for review, especially before the exam. In AP Calculus we will use the punch balls to investigate things that increase at a decreasing rate. This is a topic students struggle with unless they can see it happening. The cups and paper towels are used for the distribution of items and cleaning up messes.

I teach Honors and Advanced Placement students that work hard all year.

Anything I can do to help make that learning memorable and applicable helps them so much!
