My students are a group of amazing, innovative, creative, and diverse learners with a drive to learn new things!
We are an inclusive group of General Ed and Special Ed learners hoping to expand our thinking.
Tucked into a corner of Dover, Delaware (not far from the base) our students live and operate in a small-town environment, seeking to develop and grow into the world around them and beyond! Working against a low socio-economic status, one would never know by seeing the drive these students have to learn new things. They truly are doing their part to move above and beyond and boundaries placed before them.
My Project
This project will enhance our classroom by offering mobility to our learning! The easel and adhesive anchor charts will allow information to be maneuvered and more easily displayed throughout the room; while the clipboards and Read and Respond will allow students to more easily record their work on the carpet (closer to the information). The Read and Respond Pockets will be used to allow students mobile submission of their work, giving them a breather and a break to get out of their seats. Offering students even this short moment to stand and walk offers them a breather, moment of blood flow, brain reset, and a quick recharge. Students LOVE folding their papers to fit into their personalized number and it offers more ownership in their submissions.
Movement in learning is key to reaching diverse learning styles in the classroom.
