Mrs. Brown-Merced from Bronx NY is requesting educational kits & games through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need various items like egg shakers, beads, pillows, animals and block play people to make their overall classroom experience more rich and engaging.

For seven years, I have been a pre-kindergarten teacher to some of the brightest stars in the city. I work at a Title I school, where resources are limited for our children.
My students work and play hard; they love coming to school and deserve the best.
That being said, I want to add more resources into our classroom that will further engage my students in their learning,
I adore my students and want to provide many different learning experiences. However, we need access to more materials to make this a possibility.
The prekindergarten classroom should be full of materials that students use to stimulate their young minds in many diverse ways. The materials in my classroom, however, are very limited and as a result, my students to not get to experience all of the rich diverse learning they should be exposed to.
I am requesting materials that my students can engage in and really help them own their learning, and play experiences.
Beading will help improve their fine motor skills as well as help with patterning and sequencing activities. Pillows will make our cozy library area more cozy and inviting. Block people will improve my students' oral storytelling experiences while they play pretend in the block area. Animals will also take their pretend play to new levels while they build zoo's and other structures. And egg shakers can be enjoyed in our music area, helping students understand sound and rhythm.
I want the world for my students, as I do for my own growing child and as a teacher, I hope to create the best learning experiences for them. Please help make this project become a reality for my students. Thank you!
