My Students
We are always on the go in my third grade classroom. Learning never stops! All my students are eager and motivated to learn, even though they are at such diverse academic levels. Academic instruction is mostly done in small groups so I can better differentiate and challenge my students' needs at their instructional levels. My elementary school is considered mid-poverty with about 42% free and reduced price lunch. We have students in grade K through 5th grade. There are also three intensive needs classrooms in our building. Our ELL population is growing by the month. In our cafeteria, you can see various flags that represent the different countries our students come from.
My Project
Our classroom individual whiteboards are old and marked up. How exciting it would be for students to come to group and have a whole dry erase table at their fingertips, instead of using old whiteboards and stained felt cloth erasers. Most of my instruction is done in small groups. Dry erase tables are absolutely ingenious to help motivate learners and keep it simple for them. My third graders would be so excited to have an exciting new way to learn!! Interactive is always the way to go and a classroom dry erase table would be an amazing way to learn!
