Making Learning Fun Again!

Help me give my students meaningful learning time with real life STEM activities. The magnetic boards will allow for multiple types of manipulatives and learning opportunities.

My Students

I have the great opportunity to teach at our school. My class sizes have ranged from 18-25 kids. Our school is a Title I school; half of the students qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. The students are eager to learn and there is great parent support. Each child has their own strengths and areas that need growth. Our district is excellent at making sure teachers have what they need, but there is always more that we can use to enrich our teaching!

My Project

My classroom is in desperate need of updated learning centers and materials. These products will foster cooperative play and meaningful learning when we have inside recess or STEM learning time.

The whiteboards are magnetic as well as double-sided with lines, which will help students with their handwriting practice and allow them to use many different manipulatives like the base ten blocks in this project and/or magnetic letters and number tiles.

Learning base ten numbers is so important in first grade. It builds the foundation for teaching math in all other grade levels.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
