Making Learning Flexible for Middle Schoolers!

My students need bases for their yoga balls to keep them in one place when they are sitting (and when they leave). We are working towards a classroom with flexible seating. This is the next step!

My Students

I have the BEST students!! Don't all teachers say that! I really do! I teach 7th grade AVID and science and my students work so hard, and try their best each and every day. My AVID students are focused on becoming the best students they can to be college and career ready. My science students are inquisitive and full of wonder. They strive to learn more about the world around them taking in so much!

Middle school is a time for growth and experience.

My students are reaching daily to learn more and grow as a student and an individual. They are really funny too! There is never a day that my students don't make me laugh! They all bring so much joy to my life!

My Project

We are working towards creating a classroom environment of flexible seating. We have yoga balls that seem to move around the room too much, and would love to have them stable when we sit, and leave. We would like the base rings to help keep our yoga balls in place.

Flexible seating allows students a choice when working which mirrors what they will experience in college!

In middle school we love to have a say, and this is one way to start our day off great! It will also allow our AVID students a comfortable environment during tutorials. We look forward to our classroom growing with our minds this year!!
