Your support has had a meaningful and lasting impact on my students, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to education and literacy. Because of you, my classroom has become a place where reading is not only a skill to be learned, but an experience to be enjoyed and celebrated.\r\n\r\nThrough your contributions, students have had access to high-quality reading materials that support the development of essential literacy skills. These texts help students build vocabulary, improve decoding and fluency, and strengthen reading comprehension. More importantly, they allow students to interact with texts in ways that promote confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of what they read. \r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is active and collaborative. Students work in small groups, practice reading aloud, explore new vocabulary, and apply strategies that help them understand increasingly complex texts. The availability of these materials has allowed reading instruction to be more intentional and responsive to student needs. Instead of struggling with texts that are too difficult or disengaging, students are reading books that meet them where they are and encourage steady growth. This has transformed reading time into a positive, motivating part of the day.\r\n\r\nYour support has been especially meaningful for students who previously found reading challenging. These students are now experiencing success more frequently, which has led to greater participation and confidence. Many are eager to volunteer during lessons, take pride in completing reading tasks, and express excitement about books in ways they had not before. Seeing themselves as capable readers has positively influenced not only their literacy development but also their overall attitude toward learning.\r\n\r\nAs educators, your generosity has allowed us to focus more fully on teaching and supporting students rather than compensating for limited resources. The materials provided have strengthened instruction, supported differentiated learning, and helped create a classroom environment where all students feel supported and encouraged. I have been able to implement lessons with greater depth, consistency, and effectiveness, knowing that students have the tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nThank you to all of our donors for believing in the power of reading and in the potential of our students. Your kindness and investment have made a real difference. We are truly appreciative of your support and the role you play in helping our students grow as confident, capable readers who are beginning to see books as sources of knowledge, imagination, and joy.","fullyFundedDate":1758857659977,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-readers-with-the-sipps-challe/9447046/","projectTitle":"Empowering Readers With the SIPPS Challenge Vocabulary Supplement","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. R","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7780081_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674743685863","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7780081"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_71853","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1090,"numTeachers":51,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":21,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.2,"schoolId":71853,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bell Mountain Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bell Mountain Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/menifee-union-school-district/bell-mountain-middle-school/71853"}
