My Project

I’m building a brand-new self-contained Exceptional Children classroom for eight students with diverse learning needs. Most of my students learn best through movement, hands-on exploration, and sensory experiences. Traditional worksheets aren’t enough—they need materials they can touch, manipulate, and explore as they build foundational reading, math, communication, and life skills.

Manipulatives, Flexible seating, and sensory supports will be used every day to increase engagement, improve self-regulation, and make abstract concepts concrete.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student has the tools they need to be successful.

These students work incredibly hard every day, and they deserve a classroom that meets them where they are and celebrates every milestone. Because this is a new classroom, these materials will help build a learning environment that will benefit students for years to come.
