My Students

The readers of our middle school spent a year at home and while we see results from remote learning, we know nothing can replace in-person instruction. Since we are back in the classroom, I would like to help a population of students move toward being on level. I have students that need additional support to finish assignments and others that can self-manage their learning. Regardless of grouping, the class enjoys reading independently, pretending to be screen writers during writing and whole group time where everyone receives the entire lesson so they thrive where they are.

My Project

I am lucky to have a projector in my classroom; however, I don't have a dedicated place to project it to. I have to erase the board or use white paper to make a projector screen. I would like to alleviate that so the students can have a clear picture of the whole group instruction videos or model sheets. I have also asked for a laser printer. We have a printer on the first floor for our K-8th grade building; however, it is always in use, even during my lunch and afterschool, because the primary kids have entire books being copied for class sets. Lastly, I requested a projector stand that can be moved around the room depending on the room configuration and where the screen will be placed.
