Our tiny, rural, Title I school is located in Central New York. My students come from a very tight-knit community, in which most of the families have lived for generations. Despite our small size, we have a diverse population and students come from all different backgrounds and experiences.
I am a career changer who is very excited to be embarking on my very first year of teaching!

My Project
First graders have a lot of energy, and big imaginations! I love to make sure that my students get plenty of outdoor time to run around and move their bodies, even in the winter. However, we live in Central New York. Which means snow, and lots of it!
We will need a good supply of indoor recess toys to get us through the long months of below freezing temperatures and feet and feet of snow!
These quality toys will provide many hours of collaborative and imaginative play, with block families, baby dolls, kinetic sand for sensory play, dinosaurs and more.
