This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Many of my students lack the materials to continue their learning at home. The homework folders will allow students to bring home work and projects that they can work on with their parents at home. These folders will also help students form a sense of responsibility and pride for their belongings.
My students are four year olds eager to learn and grow their brains.
My school is a Title 1 Public Neighborhood School located in the city of Chicago. Every day my students come to school excited to learn and leave excited to share all that they have learned with their families.
My Project
My students are young children who are slowly learning the meaning of responsibility. With these homework folders, students will be reminded that they are responsible for brining something to and from school every day. These folders will also aid in home-school connections and communication as activities and newsletters will be sent home in the folders.
Donations to this project will impact my students' lives because it will enrich the amount of time they will spend learning and growing their brains outside of the classroom.
The homework folders will carry material and activities for learning and will also teach my students how to take pride in their work and responsibility for their belongings.
