My Students

My students love to create! Our school's art studio is a place where they can come to envision their own original works of art, develop craft with different tools that artists use, and express their ideas through different mediums.

At our school, we believe that the child is the artist and created a studio space where students can create work that is child centered rather than teacher directed.

Our younger artists are ready for new painting tools that they can use independently. Then, they can continue to stretch and explore in the painting studio center.

My Project

My students love to paint. We currently have large dress shirts that we are using in place of smocks. The shirts are difficult for my younger artists to put on without help, and it definitely bums them out when the sleeves drag on their fresh paintings.

Denim aprons will be much easier for my students of all ages to put on without any help, which means more time for painting!

The neatness mats will also help keep tables clean when students are painting. Adding neatness mats to our studio will maximize our art making time and minimize clean up time.
