When you take a peek at my classroom you will see eager faces, ready to learn.
You will see students who enjoy sharing laughter with their peers, putting their problem-solving skills to use with STEAM activities, creating artwork, and playing with their friends.
Books have a powerful impact on students. Books allow students to explore new worlds, watch friendships develop, find creative solutions, and dare to think outside the box. I am requesting 12 books for our library that will help our students do those things. I'm asking for Ada Twist, Scientist and Rosie Revere, Engineer. These books will inspire students to solve problems in creative ways. For example, maybe they will find a better way to recycle, or discover that we should add plants to different areas of the school. Books like I Want my Hat Back will be used before participating in a hat challenge, while Animals in Minecraft, Stellarlune, and Waverider are familiar favorites. I Survived the Wellington Avalanche will lead to conversations about what happens with nature and how it is helpful and harmful.
I am also asking for a few titles for Inchy, our book vending machine.
