Making a Classroom Feel Like Home

Help me give my students neutral colored rugs will help create the color scheme throughout the room and create a more homey feel for my students.

My Project

My classroom comprises 15 preschoolers ages 3, 4 & 5 years old. My classroom is blended with ten general and five special education students. I love how eager my students are to learn. We are currently working on our social-emotional development in preschool. We are learning how to use our words and become super friends. Currently, we have some mismatched carpets in our classroom. The money you donate will go towards two new rugs that already match our large classroom rug seen in the photo to help pull the color scheme of the classroom together.

These neutral-colored rugs will help create the color scheme throughout the room and create a more homey feel for my students.

The students will enjoy the rugs in our block and library centers. Students learn geometry skills, cause and effect, sizes/shapes, hand-eye coordination, positional words, and problem-solving in the block center. In the library center, students learn concepts of print, to tell a story using sequenced pictures, how to handle a book, the relationship between letters and words, how to use pictures to predict, take care of books, and create their own stories.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
