Making A Classroom A Home

Help me give my students a learning space that will work best for all learners. The wobble stool and balance disks allow students to let their wiggles out and move around while still sitting in one spot!

My Students

My students are bright and eager seven and eight year olds. We are very fortunate to have a wide range of ethnicities, races, languages, and religions represented in our classroom. In my classroom alone, we are home to nine different languages. Our school is located on the northwest side of Chicago and is home to all.

These students deserve a great education and with that comes a great classroom.

We are trying a build a classroom that is worthy of these students.

My Project

While this project may not be very large, these items will do wonders for my students. I am constantly thinking of new ways to make learning and growing better for everyone. I am very deliberate in the items I choose because I know what the students really need and what is just extra.

These items will ensure that all students have the work environment they need to shine.

The wobble stool and balance circles will allow students who just need that extra movement the opportunity to do that while still being able to focus on their work. I also lead a lot of small group work. The little easel will allow students an easier view of whatever we are learning, therefore taking one more hurdle out of the equation for their learning.
