Makerspace Basic Supplies Needed, Please!!

Help me give my students basic supplies like tape, erasers, string, and popsicle sticks for our maker space in order to build creativity and collaboration.

My Project

A maker space is an area where students work together to create solutions and new inventions. Our maker space is stocked with recycled materials but our students need basic supplies like tape, glue, scissors, and staplers to allow them turn the recyclables into their creations. Our students will use these materials to build creatively! As a way to increase engineering and design skills, the students will use our school maker space and make a plan before they start creating. They'll then use the supplies to build and revise their plans as needed. Then, they will share their projects through class presentations or displays of their process in the school. These materials will be used to solve problems - how do I get the action figure across the bridge? How can I build a taller tower? - working together students will build something amazing. The maker space will be a place to take risks, and think creatively and critically to find solutions

Creativity in young children requires a lot of tape and supplies!

We need these materials to take our maker space to the next level. Our students will collaborate to build and create, and they will learn vital skills along the way. The creativity, critical thinking skills, communication, and collaboration that this improved space will foster will ensure our students have a strong foundation for life, no matter what career path they decide to follow.
