I have 48 amazing, eager, and caring students in the kindergarten classroom with my teaching partner. They come to school every day with an excitement for learning!
I teach at a Title I school which means that a majority of my students are considered high poverty and many are second language learners.
My school embraces innovative ways to personalize learning for all of our students. Our administrator supports anything that benefits our students and their ability to make growth both academically and socially.
Wonder Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week! This is the day that we focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) concepts for a large portion of the day. Students work in groups and rotate through different STEAM stations.
I am requesting a fully stocked Maker Space cart from Lakeshore for my students to use during our STEAM rotations.
They will use the items for at our engineering station for engineering challenges and different creations including wallets, bags, tinker toys, and more! The sky is the limit! Students will focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Materials for our Maker Station can be quite costly so the cart and supplies would be extremely helpful!
