Make Way for Ducklings, Part 2

My students need an ASUS All-in-One Desktop Computer to conduct research for a variety of scientific projects.

My Students

My students are an awesome group of third grade service workers. We are Team Paws! It's our goal to change the world with kindness. Even the smallest kind act can mean a lot; hold the door, smile, say please and thank you and be nice, because it matters!

Not only that, but my girls and boys are our nation's next scientists, teachers, engineers, factory workers, cashiers, managers, doctors, explorers, and more.

They are our world's next inventors of things, makers of stuff, and seekers of truth. My kids are capable of changing the world with their smart brains and bright ideas. My kids leaders, growers, and learners.

For this project, my kids will learn about the life-cycle of the duck as they hatch eggs in our own classroom incubator and use a computer station to conduct various types of scientific research.

My Project

Attention kids; Make Way for Ducklings! Wait. What's that? You don't know the appropriate incubator temperature or how long to incubate the eggs? Well, then I think it's time to conduct some research! After all, I'm sure there's lots we need to learn to care for our eggs and ducklings properly.

Not only does a great scientist participate in hands-on activities, like hatching duck eggs, and then caring for the ducklings, but he or she must also know how to properly conduct research.

For this project, I am requesting an all-in-one desk top computer that the kids can use on demand for our duckling project, and others like it, too.

In 3rd grade, kids are expected to learn how to effectively research various topics, take notes, and put their new found knowledge into writing. It's a very difficult task to teach, but with the motivation of hatching their own duck eggs, for the kids, it becomes much more doable, interesting and fun!

Offering my kids an in-classroom computer they can use on demand to conduct research, and so much more, will be a game changer for my budding scientists.

Along with your help and Tom's of Maine, I can grow the next generation of scientific learners who are ready to change the world with science. Many thanks for your kind consideration to support this project.
