Make Speech Therapy Fun Again!

Help me give my students the material we need to be successful in speech therapy. We have limited resources that motivate our students. These items would be great in assisting with treatment.

My Project

All of my students that receive speech therapy services are sweet students and work very hard to achieve their goals. Recently I have felt that my students need some additional motivation. These items will be put to use daily as I plan to implement them into my everyday therapy sessions.

My students are special because they are a family and they are eager to please every member of our school.

We are located in a small town and school. Every students feels like they are family to the teachers and staff and even each other. My students are EXCITED to attend school each day and will be even more excited to attend speech therapy with the help of these items. These items will help my students find the FUN in speech therapy. I feel that making learning fun will help my students carryover their skills in the classroom.

With these items I will be able to target specific goals that are in place to help my students be successful communicators in the classroom and in social settings. The pineapple/potato head that targets feelings will be used with some of my students who have a difficult time expressing pragmatic language-including explaining how they are feelings or answering inference questions. The vocabulary cards will be used to help my students that are delayed in expressive and/or receptive language meet developmental norms.
