My students need social studies resources to enhance the curriculum text books. Resources include social studies history comprehension paperbacks, primary sources and American history immigration cards.
Everyday I have students full of life, ready and excited to learn. They are ready to explore the day and accept new challenges. I truly believe in my students and want them to believe in themselves.
Our school is one of the oldest and most well-known schools in Atlanta, originally built in 1917.
It supports a diverse group of students with a variety of backgrounds. Our school serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth and provides rigorous academics, supportive staff and a safe, healthy learning environment.
As an educator, my goal is to prepare my students for success in the years to come. They are very different learners, some more advanced than others, and need differentiated materials.
My students need interactive and skill-dense materials to assist them in understanding and enjoying social studies in 5th grade.
Social Studies is a integral part of the 5th grade curriculum.
Reading skills are also very important and are constantly integrated with social studies topics. This is why I need primary sources and reading comprehension materials to enhance their learning experience. The primary sources I have requested are directly related to the common core social studies standards for 5th grade. The primary sources will support the turn of the century unit, the first unit for 5th grade.
I am requesting reading comprehension texts related to the social studies turn of the century content. These paperback books will help to enhance the print-rich classroom I wish to share with my scholars. These books will help to enhance the print-rich classroom I wish to share with my scholars.
This will be my first year teaching 5th grade and I want to resources and tools to push them to their greatest potential.
