Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love coming to school each day. They bring so many personal experiences, languages, and excitement. They love learning about new science topics, especially when they get to explore it hands-on. This upcoming year our class will transition to full-day kindergarten so we want to extend our science learning and create a "Science Center" that all students will enjoy!
This project will help to create science sensory bins and centers for numerous science modules including plants and animals.
With these science bins, my kinders will learn about different plants and animals as they get to sort miniature figurines, build their own garden using the plant STEM building set, and use task cards which will be stored in the photo organizer bins.
This project will help to inspire my kinders to LOVE science and STEM. It will also provide many students with a sensory, tactile learning approach to keep them stimulated and make content learning memorable.
