My students need manipulatives, blocks, as well as more storage bins for our classroom. This will give them the opportunity to strengthen their math skills, creativity, as well as their social emotional skills.
I teach both special needs three year old and special needs four year old students in a Title I school. My students have a wide variety of needs, such as social-emotional, fine motor, and behavioral, as well as children with autism The majority of my students come from a low-economical background. Coming to school on a regular basis is an escape where the children can play and grow while learning, strengthening their social skills, and follow a daily schedule and routine.
My Project
By adding these materials to our room, the students will be able to use the Cardboard blocks to imagine, create, and build. The Magnatiles are a great addition to any early childhood classroom. Students can use this awesome manipulative to expand their imagination to build, create, and observe how magnets work. The storage containers will be used to help organize the classroom. By having a more organized classroom, students are more easily able to participate in the clean up process. This will help maintain a neat and tidy room, as well as help encourage the students to become more responsible in the management of the classroom.
