My Students

My students are learning all about the letters and numbers around them! There are lots of wonderful ways to practice those skills including using their hands to make and stamp them!

We are a class of 22 students in a rural community.

Our school is small and feels like a family. The kids in my classes move through the grades with each other and become very close. I also get to touch base with all of the kids in the school often because of our small size. The kids and staff here look out for each other and have a wonderful sense of community.

My Project

I am asking for play-doh and letter and number stamps along with stands to hold them. My kids will use these both during play time, and also at work station time. These items can be used to differentiate for different learning levels so that all kids can use them. During stations, they will be used to practice the letter and number recognition skills needed for reading and counting. They can also be used to make words and sentences as we learn. They are a great way to use our hands to learn!

This project will help my students who learn by using their hands to get extra practice with letters and numbers.

Besides being able to work with all different learning levels, from basic recognition to word production, this project also follows Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences by allowing kinesthetic learners an outlet to practice.
