Make Music Matter with Music Materials

Help me give my students music materials (i.e. beanbags, tennis balls, and fans) to use individually in class to develop their music abilities.

My Students

I have the privilege of teaching music to over 600 students, who all come to my class with a thirst to learn. They are full of enthusiasm, interest, and motivation to engage in music. I use that motivation to foster creativity as we explore music on all levels. As I witness learning take place, I am driven to provide them with more opportunities that allows them to grow in ways they didn't believe was possible. As they engage in meaningful activities, they expand boundaries, become problem solvers, spark creativity, and pursue interests beyond the imaginable. That is what brings a smile to my face and teaches them that they can achieve anything.

My Project

Music manipulatives enhance music development, which is why I'm asking for fan ribbons, tennis balls, beanbags and cups. These materials will allow each student to have their own materials to use in class, which helps during the Covid Pandemic. It will also allow students' music exploration to grow.

Music is meant to be explored through movement, singing, and activity.

When younger kids have materials that aid in that exploration, they connect to music in a whole new way.
