Elementary students connect to the ease and simplicity of learning the ukulele while the possibilities to engage, explore, and perform music broadens. The ukulele's size is easy for students to manipulate providing a positive experience. In class, we will use the ukuleles to learn musical elements such as beat, rhythm, harmony, and expression. Playing the ukulele allows for creativity and encourages music exploration. All students can learn to play the ukulele, which builds children's motivation and self-esteem. All students will have the opportunity to play along with a variety of songs while creating songs of their own. During this time of Covid-19, ukuleles are the only instrument that students can learn to play in groups and will allow us to continue music instruction. Ukulele playing will grow every student and bring positive school-wide pride and accomplishment! Thanks for your support! I can't wait to see our kids shine!
