Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a 7th grade math teacher at a Title 1 school. We have a very diverse student population, and the majority of my students are economically disadvantaged. I’m hoping I can get supplies for my students so that they can focus on academics and not have to stress about having all the needed supplies.

My Project

My students are blocked scheduling at school. This means they are in my math class for an hour and a half EVERY day. That is a lot of time to spend doing math. So, in order to help them stay motivated, I want to give out prizes so that they stay motivated to finish their work and continue to work hard. I have noticed that many students work for food, so I'm hoping with all of these snacks, my students will turn in to extremely hard workers! Let's keep them motivated!
