Some of my classes missed their ticket day due to a winter storm, and they were very quick to remind me when we returned to school! So my 6th graders taking 8th grade math will stop by my classroom to pick up their snack and drink before running off to their tutoring room, if it is a day that tutoring is not taking place in my classroom. We also were able to use the colored paper to make paper chains in an activity where students added a link for every item they had in common, and those are decorating our space now as well.
