My Students

I teach special education to a big group of students. Special education is my passion and I am so happy that I get to teach this.

My children are eager to learn but enjoy learning through playing different educational games.

My students are very motivated but also have a lot of energy so we take frequent brain breaks and get up to move. Incorporating brain breaks and educational games are a perfect fit for these students. The students take pride in their school work and work really hard to do their best.

My Project

The one thing that really gets my students excited and in the learning mood are games. My students are more engaged and receptive to learning when the material is presented to them in the form of a game.

I am requesting the reading materials and phonics games as that is an area where my students really struggle.

The colored highlighter strips will help students keep track of what they are reading when we are practicing fluency and reading comprehension.

When the students do have to write on paper, with pencils, they really enjoy using the thicker, or chucky pencils, as they call them. We also do a lot of work on dry erase boards, for example spelling words and math problems. The students love writing on dry erase boards.
