My students need phonics games and sight word books to improve their reading skills.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I am currently teaching 20 lovely first graders in Massachusetts. I teach in the city of Brockton, which is an urban low-income area. The school that I work in is set up in pods. We do not have walls that divide the classrooms up. Instead, we are in one big room that has tall bookcases and whiteboards that we use to create barriers to form 4 classrooms inside one pod. Although this is a challenge, I enjoy every minute of teaching!
Our classroom library is full of fiction books, however it lacks non-fiction books. These books are a great way to expose my students to non-fiction text features. The students also love getting to look at the pictures and learn some fun facts. Every year my students complete an animal research project and these books would be a great resource for them to use during this time.
I love trying to incorporate games into my lessons to try and make learning fun for my students!
The phonics games are an exciting way to get my students to learn while playing games.
