My Students

My students look forward to their computer time in the classroom. Unfortunately, we only have one computer and their time is very limited. A tablet would allow them more time to access technology in the classroom.

My students attend a Title 1 school where most of the students participate in a free lunch program.

It is located in an urban area and their parents are of a low-income status. The majority of my students are English Language Learners and they need visuals, hands-on activities and any extra resources possible to make their learning more accessible. My students are always excited to learn, especially when using technology.

My Project

My students need a portable Android Tablet to motivate and enhance their learning in the classroom. I want my students to access the internet in order to increase vocabulary and to improve their comprehension skills thus, become life-long learners in technology. My students will have more time to access Accelerated Reader (develops comprehension skills,) and English in a Flash (increases vocabulary) with the help of your donation. The tablet will help my students increase their vocabulary by having access to visuals whenever they encounter an unfamiliar word.

The tablet will give them more computer time enabling them to increase their vocabulary and comprehension skills.

My students' learning motivation will increase with another technological device in the classroom. They will be more enthusiastic about their own learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
