My Students

I have a class full of fun, eager, and curious learners. They love hands on learning and I have found that using manipulatives has been an excellent way to teach new concepts as well as fill in the gaps left by COVID and online learning that lacks a certain hands on approach that many kids need. My kids want to dive in with all kinds of learning and many need extra help focusing. It seems COVID has impacted their ability to focus critically and for large amounts of time.

My Project

I’ve noticed with Covid there are a lot of learning gaps that are affecting my students confidence and ability to have a good foundation for future learning. With these materials, I will be able to fill those gaps in a very real way (most of these kids need to see it with manipulatives to really get a good grasp of it). As these gaps are filled, I see happy, smiling kids ready to take on the next learning challenge which these supplies will also help as they learn in a fun, active way.
