My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning. My students are thoughtful, creative and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow problem solving. My energetic kindergarteners enter the classroom ready to discover, explore, and learn.

I teach Kindergarten at a school that's the oldest lasting African American founded school (since 1966) in Houston, Texas.

We serve the community by providing children the best resources and access to an education that will propel them to be individuals who will create an impact in a variety of ways. We are shaping minds and instilling onto students confidence, strong morals and character, creativity, and outstanding leadership skills that will influence society in the most positive of ways.

My Project

Sometimes the littlest changes make such a huge difference! A little change like changing the paper color from white to COLOR can spark such engagement! My students on a daily basis are engaged in hands-on centers and independent learning opportunities, finding ways to spruce up these times are so important to me. One quick and easy way is to add a little color!

The bright and inviting paper colors would be used to help print centers, independent work, homework, group projects, etc.

This quick and easy update would bring a new element to some of our daily activities. Help us add pops of color to our classroom.
