Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day, my students come to class eager to learn, create, and grow. As a 7th grade ELA teacher, I strive to make my classroom a welcoming and engaging environment where students feel inspired to think critically, collaborate, and express themselves confidently. Many of my students learn best through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and creative projects that allow them to connect reading and writing to the real world.

The materials in this project will help transform our classroom into a more organized, student-centered learning space.

Composition notebooks will provide students with a place to write, reflect, and practice important literacy skills throughout the year. Highlighters, colored pencils, and scissors will support annotation, close reading, interactive notebooks, and creative projects that make learning more engaging and meaningful.

The whiteboard stickers will allow for additional collaborative workspaces where students can brainstorm ideas, respond to texts, and work together in small groups. The standing lamp will help create a warm and comfortable classroom environment that supports focus and learning.

These supplies may seem simple, but they will have a lasting impact on my students’ daily learning experiences. With your support, my classroom will become a space where students feel prepared, supported, and excited to learn each day.
