As eager learners, our scholars use a lot of tools throughout the school year. My class is a diverse group of learners that consists of ELL students and non-ELL students. All of them have a strong desire to learn and are beginning to become more accountable for their learning. Having these tools will help enhance their skills and improve SEL skills as they navigate throughout their day.
Supplies need to replenished and revamped to organize and utilize the tools within the classroom so that students can utilize these tools easier and enable them to maintain and enhance their love for learning.
We need these supplies for various reasons. Unfortunately, our dry erase markers and pens have run out of ink and we need to replenish these tools. Pencils tend to vanish so having a pencil dispenser may be a fun and creative way to store pencils that may become an incentive for students to replace pencils and get a new one. My students love their homework system. We use a calendar and reward students for doing their homework with stickers, however, stickers are becoming lost making it difficult to manage. I am hoping that stampers would be a quicker and more organized way of completing this task. Each monitor will be responsible for stamping their classmates' calendars and will enable me to make sure that students are rewarded appropriately.
My learners also become so engaged in their tasks that they continue to work despite time limits. We will utilize a bell system to engage students and enable them to develop their time management skills.
These supplies will help our classroom run more smoothly and enable my students to continue to grow as successful learners.
